"You fail only if you stop." - Ray Bradbury This past weekend I was in Houston for the Romance Author Mastermind conference, which pretty much blew my mind. Three and a half days of non-stop information overload. I still haven't had the guts to go back and look at my notes, but I will soon. Not only did I get a chance to meet some of my literary heroes: Laurelin Paige, A. Zavarelli, Skye Warren, Melanie Harlow, Sienna Snow, Willow Winters, and Crystal Kaswell to name a few. But I also got to meet people that have made a huge impact on my writing career: Danielle Norman, Shannon Myers, and of course Stephie Walls, my BFF. It was amazing, hands down. Authors I tried to stalk but seemed to miss at every turn, were: Lexi Ryan, Layla Hagen, Ilsa Madden-Mills, Carly Phillips, K. Bromberg, Marika Ray, Jana Aston, Pippa Grant, and Autumn Jones-Lake. Regardless, at some point over the weekend, I was in the same room with all of them, which made me fangirl hard. Stephie (Walls) was also my roomie, and she enjoyed making fun of my fangirling saying they were all just people. Technically true. But to me, they are also a physical representation of where I want to be in my writing career. Which is exciting. So, tell me, do you fall into the Stephie Walls camp of all people are just that. Or do you have a tendency to fan-girl/boy when you meet a (personal) celebrity?💋
