Reasons to hate candles.

Are you a candle lover? I know most people are.

I'm not a fan.

I can't light them without envisioning some sort of catastrophic fire all Final Destination like. But, that's a story for another time. My real reason for bringing up candles is that I'm totally burning mine at both ends. Hence why I missed the newsletter last month, and why I'm barely going to make this month's before the month ends.

I wish I could say I've been spending all my time and energy writing, but that would be a bald faced lie. There's been some writing, don't get me wrong, there has to be. I've got a book coming out July 15 (see below). But, the bulk of my time has been spent on my "other" life. The one that doesn't include writing. And I'm tired.

Spent. Exhausted. Weary. Burned-out. Haggard. Beat. Used the fuck up.

When that happens, all creativity dries up. Gone. Out the window. Kaput. (I'm enjoying thesaurus.com today, obvi.)

Are you an artistic person? Does your creativity ever burn out? What do you do when that happens?
